1. Download the Software
Visit the official Launch portal: [https://en.cnlaunch.com/]
Go to Service > Download & Upgrade on the top navigation bar.
Scroll to find X-431 ECU Clone and click Download.
Hit Download again, making sure to select your preferred language package (e.g., ECUCLONE_PC_EN_setup).
2. Run the Installer
Locate the downloaded .exe file on your PC and double-click to open it.
Follow the straightforward, on-screen setup wizard to complete the installation.
3. Establish Hardware Connection
Plug your G5 programmer directly into your PC's USB port.
Open the X-431 ECU Clone application.
Wait for the interface to display "Successfully connected", indicating the hardware is ready.
4. Registration & License Activation
Important Reminder: Ensure all operational files have verified checksums. Read and write compatibility is determined by your target ECU or TCU module.
Click Confirm on the startup prompt.
Enter a valid email address and click Send. Type the OTP verification code from your inbox into the box and click Login.
When the pop-up alerts you that the device is unregistered, click OK.
To link your profile to the PC box, click Activate.
The software will auto-populate your Serial Number. Type in the unique Activation Code (found on the accessory paper slip inside your package) and click Activate to finish.
Your Launch X431 X-PROG5 IMMO Programmer is ready to use! Simply select the CHIP option on the main dashboard to open the read/write tool menu.
