How to use OBDSTAR DC706 ECU Tool to read and write TOYOTA DENSO GEN3 [R7F701201+R7F701202] ECM by bench?

Requirements:

1.ECM Software Version: Ensure it is V31.35 or above.

2.Internet Connection: Ensure a stable connection during the operation.

3.Tools and Materials Needed:

  • OBDSTAR DC706 Main Unit
  • Main Cable
  • OBDSTAR P004 Adapter
  • ECU Clone Jumper
  • 12V Power Supply
  • Toyota Denso GEN3 ECU

Steps to Operate:

1.Access the ECM Model:

Navigate to ECU Flasher >> ECM.

Input gen3 to quickly find the ECM model (TOYOTA DENSO GEN3 R7F701201+R7F701202).

2.Check Operation Guide:

Select Guide to view the operation instructions and wiring diagram.

Refer to the provided diagrams for correct connections.

3.MCU Details and Cloning Process:

The TOYOTA DENSO GEN3 ECU has two MCUs:

R7F701202: Stores ECM data

R7F701201: Stores TCM data

If cloning is required, both ECM and TCM data must be cloned.

This function allows reading and restoring the flash data of both TCM and ECM via Bench mode.

4.Wiring Diagram:

The wiring diagrams for both MCUs are identical and can be followed for successful operation.

5.Setup Connections:

6.Read and Write TOYOTA DENSO GEN3 R7F701201:

Select TCM (R7F701201) from the software menu.

Perform the following steps in sequence:

  • Connect
  • Read INT Flash (R7F701201)
  • Write INT Flash (R7F701201)
  • Disconnect

All operations will complete successfully.

  1. Read and Write TOYOTA DENSO GEN3 R7F701202

After proper connection, select the BENCH method and choose the P004 Adapter in the software.

Select ECM (R7F701202).

Perform the following steps in sequence:

  • Connect
  • Read INT Flash (R7F701202)
  • Write INT Flash (R7F701202)
  • Disconnect
