A1: Yes.
Q2: Does this new adapter act as a permanent bypass? Or need to reconnect the gateway afterward?
A2: Only need to connect SGW 12+8 Adapter or L-JCD Adapter. After the diagnosis or key programming is complete, you need to connect the gateway back and unplug the adapter.
