Tutorial:
How to use Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus Pad and Godiag CAS2/CAS3 Test Platform to add a new BMW CAS3++ semi smart key on bench?
1.Connection:
Connect VVDI Key Tool Plus and Godiag CAS3 Test Platform via OBD2 to DB25 Cable
Connect the green and black connectors of Godiag Test Platform to CAS3 module
Connect the 12V power supply to test platform
Put the original key into the Godiag CAS2 CAS3 Test Platform coil, press the Start button, the IMMO and IDUC indicators light up, which means the original key works normally.
2.Program new key
Menu path:
IMMO programming>> EUROPE>> BMW>> Select from type>> CAS3/CAS3+ immo system>> Key function>> Start programming>> Generate keys via OBD
Main steps:
- Step 1: Read key information
- Step 2: Prepare dealer with programmer
- Step 3: Add key
Step 1: Read key information
Choose the add keys method to read key information
Read the CAS info successfully, the CAS type is CAS3++ (ISTAP)
Continue to read the key info
Take away the original key from Godiag Test Platform
Save the key info after reading
Step 2: Prepare dealer with programmer
Select one unused key position
CAS key data is encrypted, support make dealer key
Put a new key into the coil of Key Tool Plus
Confirm the key is not smart
Make dealer key successfully
Step 3: Add key
Confirm the dealer key is not on the ignition switch
Write data successfully
The new dealer key is successfully written to CAS system.
Read key info. again, the new key info has already been written to CAS3 module.
Finally, put the key programmed into the Godiag BMW CAS3 Test Platform to test, the IMMO and INDUC indicators light up. The key is matched successfully to CAS3++ module.
