GM MDI 2 Multiple Diagnostic Interface Review

Some technicians wanna know a trusted source from which they can buy a good 1:1 GM MDI 2 clone? It’s even better if it’s from Europe. If not, that’s ok too.

Here I share one real user’s feedback:
I use uobdii.com and
bought GM MDI 2 clone (you just input SP163-E+SP163-S1 to search), works well, would recommend cloning HDD, as
they seem to be easy to wipe it windows does a check disk….

I have used UOBDii since May 2012, not all items I have bought have been very good or even worked. The 1st MDI I bought turned out to be a VX Diag or something in a MDI case, IDS Rundra VCM1 is a clone of the clone by Fly, 2 Tech2’s – Absolute crap, Only bought this MDI2 in March, so far works fine, it’s always a gamble buying non-OEM stuff. If you want the best – Buy Original
Good Luck.

Someone may want to know if this is the MDI 1 in the MDI 2 case?
I’d like to say GDS2 identifies it as MDI2….

And someone wants to know does MD2 cover 24V trucks?
My answer is: Sorry, no idea about 24Volt support. The GM MDI2 HDD has many different packages to install as needed. I have used it on my Holden Commodore ok, will try on an Opel next time I have one to work on. If you could tell me how to create image for HDD & upload, maybe you could try & report.

MDI2 wifi version is good, in case someone is interested, these are the PCBs of SP163-E (Wi-Fi Version GM MDI 2 clone).

Alright, hope it helps!
