Use Xhorse VVDI2 to Replace VAG Faulty Engine

Question: I have an Audi R8 2008 with two engine computers. one is faulty and I need to replace it, what to do next by using Xhorse VVDI2 programmer?

Xhorse engineer replied:
1st step: open VVDI2 VAG software, click on "Special function", select Component protection (A4 / A5/A6/ A8/Q5/Q7/Allroad)


Then, you will see VVDI2 VAG software supports these ECU types:

Audi A6/Q7 (2004 – 2009) -46- ILM Front passenger (ILM Beifahrer)
Audi A6/Q7 (2004 – 2009) -06- Seat Memory Passenger
Audi A6/Q7 (2004 – 2009) -36- Memory module (Driver’s seat)
Audi A8 (2003 – 2006) -17- Instrument Cluster
Audi A8 (2003 – 2010) – 06 – Seat Memory Passenger
